Why is the actual toll higher?

These figures are a documented minimum. Verification is limited by access to occupied territories, missing records and the difficulty of confirming individual cases. The true civilian toll in Mariupol in 2022 is not established by the available data. Missing data is not zero.

Where do today’s figures come from?

Today’s reports come from the official State Emergency Service of Ukraine (DSNS) channel, using Kyiv time. Corrections replace earlier numbers; reports that may overlap are not added together. Harmed includes reported health harm, including acute stress reaction. Operational figures are not added to the UN cumulative total.

Where can I see casualties by region?

Regional figures are taken from T4P — Tribunal for Putin, which documents victims and violations. Its coverage and reporting period differ from the UN series. Compare figures with their own sources and dates; do not add the two datasets together.

What does the evidence establish?

The site documents the civilian human cost of Russian aggression and the actions of its accomplices. An aggregate casualty count does not establish the perpetrator of every individual incident. A sanctions listing is not a court finding of guilt. Incident-level and legal claims require their own supporting sources.
